Features and Improvements

  • Transient Stability: Modified PERC1 to allow a Frecon value > 1.0. This would represent an electronic load which would reconnect to a MW value greater than the initial power after a ceasing event occurs. For example a model that would start charging batteries after a ceasing event occurs.
  • Transient Stability: For model AC11C, added support for reading/writing to DYD file as an ESAC11C model
  • Bug Fixes

    • Oneline Diagrams: Fixed contour bug that affected contours with more than 150,000 datapoints; the conversion to nearest neighbor wasn't working correctly. Also improved the performance of the contour spatial data symbols.
    • Optimal Power Flow (OPF): When a load object had its Load Benefit model set to None, we were still including a Benefit per hour figure. This has been fixed. This did not impact the OPF solution, but only the reported benefit values.
    • Optimal Power Flow (OPF): The load benefit contributions were not being included in the cost function calculated during an OPF or SCOPF. The benefit was included in the calculation of the dispatch appropriately, but the total
reported objective function cost was not reported correctly.
    • Security Constrained OPF (SCOPF) Tool: When reopening a case with a solved SCOPF, the Final Cost Function text box in "SCOPF > Options > SCOPF Results Summary" would show a value of zero, since this section is not being saved within a PWB case. This field now displays the present system cost when reopening a case.
    • Security Constrained OPF (SCOPF) Tool: The load benefit contributions were not being included in the cost function calculated during an OPF or SCOPF. The benefit was included in the calculation of the dispatch appropriately, but the total
reported objective function cost was not reported correctly.
    • Time Step Simulation: Timestep Simulation code now consistently gives an error (as it should) when trying to read a future version *.tsb file; previously sometimes this did not occur.
