A second edition of our conference will be hosted this year at the
SCE&G
facilities near Columbia, South Carolina.

The conference registration fee is $275 per person. Fee waivers will be granted to speakers on the
conference agenda (one waiver per presentation), paid attendees to the August 19-20 software training,
and customers of our new Transient Stability add-on (one waiver per Transient Stability license).
Agenda and Call for Presentations
The conference will begin at 12:00 pm on August 17 and adjourn at 4:30
pm on August 18. Conference highlights will include
our new Transient Stability Analysis tool, parallel processing, and Integrated Topology Processing.
Conference Agenda
If you would like to make a presentation at the conference, please submit an abstract to Scott
Dahman at scott@powerworld.com.
Presentations should emphasize how you are using Simulator or
Retriever to solve everyday problems and should stimulate
discussions on analysis methods, strategies, approaches, and
tactics. Please understand that we may not be able to accommodate
everyone who wishes to present.
Software Training
We will also offer training on our new
Transient Stability Analysis
tool on August 19-20 at the discounted rate of $1000 per person.
Training Agenda
All participants should be familiar with the material in the
Introduction to PowerWorld Simulator
course. The full course is available
free online and is also delivered periodically
at our office in Champaign, Illinois.
Participants should bring their own computers. Please complete and return

for the training.
Accommodations and Transportation
A hotel room block has been arranged at the
Hampton Inn Columbia-Downtown Historic District. Use Group/Convention Code
"PWC". The hotel is 5 miles from the SCE&G office.
Nearby airports include Columbia Metro (CAE, 10 minutes),
Charlotte Douglass International (CLT, 60 minutes), and Charleston International (CHS, 90 minutes).
