If you would like to make a presentation at the conference, please submit an abstract to Scott
Dahman at scott@powerworld.com.
Presentations should emphasize how you are using Simulator or
Retriever to solve everyday problems and should stimulate
discussions on analysis methods, strategies, approaches, and
tactics. Please understand that we may not be able to accommodate
everyone who wishes to present.
Software Training
A PowerWorld Simulator 13 training class will be
offered on October 22-24 at the
Entergy Corporate Headquarters, Room 706. The cost is
$1000 per person and attendees may receive a $100 discount on the conference registration.
This training session is full and we regret we are unable
to accept new registrations.
The class will begin at 1 pm
on Monday, October 22 (2 1/2 day format). To fit the session into
the available time, we will not cover introductory topics on program
navigation and power flow case editing. These will be available
online
for viewing before the New Orleans training session.
New Orleans training agenda
Attendees will be responsible for providing their own computers.
Accommodations and Transportation
We have made arrangements with the
New Orleans Holiday Inn Downtown-Superdome, located only a few blocks from the
Entergy Offices (map).

The nightly rate of $90 plus taxes is available from
October 21 through October 28. The rate is guaranteed for
a limited time.
Parking is available at the hotel for $15 plus tax per day with
in/out privileges.
The hotel is approximately 14 miles from the Louis Armstrong New
Orleans International Airport (MSY).
Cab fare from the airport is $28 for one or two passengers and
shuttles are $13
