Introduction to B3Flat System

This is a team exercise using PowerWorld Simulator. You will use the simulation cases already provided with the software. Teams should have two to three students.

Find or compute the following information for the 3-bus system:

• For each generator: total cost function, marginal (or incremental) cost
  function operating limits, and ramp rates.
  
• The thermal limit for each transmission line.
  
• The generation and load levels at each bus.
  
• For the home area at the current operating point: total cost, average cost, total losses, percent losses of total generation, system lambda, marginal cost of each generator, sell quote for a 50MW transaction, and buy quote for a 50MW transaction.
